Most couples arrive at us thinking in hours. The ceremony at four, photographs at five, dinner at six-thirty. It is a sensible way to plan a day, and a difficult way to plan a celebration. The Legacy Experience gives you two nights on the property, and the first thing that changes is the arithmetic.

Start with the arrivals, not the ceremony

With two nights, the people closest to you are on site before anything formal happens. Lodging here sleeps twenty-five. That number tends to sort itself: parents, siblings, the friends who always show up early to carry chairs. Decide that list first, because it sets the shape of the welcome evening.

The estate is yours for the whole of it. Nothing is scheduled after you, and nothing was scheduled before.

Let the rehearsal breathe

A rehearsal squeezed into a Friday afternoon is a rehearsal nobody enjoys. With an extra night, it becomes a walk through the site you chose while the light is still good, followed by dinner and no particular hurry. Our consultant runs it, so the two of you can be guests at your own rehearsal.

Protect the morning

The hours before a ceremony are the ones couples remember in the most detail. Espresso in the bridal suites. The groom's quarters slowly filling. Somebody's grandmother finding a chair on the porch. None of it requires planning — only the space to happen, which is exactly what the second night buys.

End with brunch

The "Happily Ever After" brunch is the part people are most surprised by. Warm plates, more coffee, and the whole story told back to you by the people who watched it. It is a gentler ending than a hotel lobby at nine in the morning, and it is included.

A short checklist

Decide who stays on site. Choose your ceremony site early, then leave the others for portraits. Give guests the drive times before they book flights. Keep the welcome evening simple — the weekend is long, and there is no need to spend it all on the first night.
